Specialist, Warehouse
JOB TITLE: Warehouse Specialist - California
DEPARTMENT: Tools, Components, and Assembled Solutions - Garvin West Coast
LOCATION: 12801 Busch Pl, Santa Fe Springs, CA
Compensation: $20.00 - $22.50
Shift Hours: Monday-Friday 11am-7pm
Summary:
Oversee the supply chain process in the distribution center, liaise with customers and suppliers, and ensure that safety regulations are met. In this role, you should have a commitment to getting tasks completed and a hands-on approach to work. This role is well-suited for people with excellent communication skills, and keen attention to detail.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for assisting the Warehouse Operations Manager in keeping the department operating efficiently.
- Responsible for accommodating the needs of machine operators as needed.
- Responsible for operating machines or performing jobs in other departments as needed.
- Responsible for assisting supervision in regard to safety, housekeeping, and employee job performance.
ENVIRONMENTAL/SAFETY:
- Follow all company environmental rules/procedures and handle all materials in a manner designed to minimize environmental impact.
- Follow prescribed safety rules/procedures in an effort to prevent injury to self and others.
- Seek assistance and advice on matters concerning safe practices, policies, and/or procedures and provide support for all safety activity.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Report environmental and safety policy violations to supervision/management.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Normal warehouse working conditions, shift schedules may vary.
- Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
- Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis.
- Must be able to use proper techniques to lift 45 pounds.
