ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a TAX ANALYST to assist and support our Tax Team in LATAM (mainly Argentina).
ABOUT THE TEAM
VTEX Tax team is responsible for managing every aspect related to tax planning and compliance procedures, focusing on improving the quality and efficiency of tax processes.
As a member of our team, you will have autonomy to:
- Deal with tax and accounting matters, ensuring the compliance with the legislation;
- Continuously review the Direct and Indirect tax calculations and returns prepared by external consultants;
- Register journal entries related to tax accounts (recoverable/payable/expense accounts);
- Keep the accounting reconciliation updated;
- Help implement/improve SOX controls;
- Keep up to date with tax developments, identifying changes in the requirements of each country;
- Help with doubts and suggestions from costumers about withholding taxes;
- Attend local audits, such as fiscal auditing;
- Active participation in transfer pricing discussions.
WHO YOU ARE
- You must be based in Argentina;
- You must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related areas;
- You must have 3+ years of tax professional experience, specifically in compliance (Big 4 / mid to large or global company experience would be a differential);
- You must have solid professional experience with Argentinian tax legislation;
- You must understand the concepts of journal entries and reconciliation of Direct and Indirect tax accounts (assets, liabilities, and P&L);
- You might have SAP experience (it’s a differential);
- You must have analytical skills and attention to details;
- You must be an advanced user of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets;
- You must have good communication skills.
